Sunbirds fall 1-14 to No. 9 Loyola Marymount
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Fresno Pacific (3-15) finished their long weekend with a tough game against the No. 9 ranked team in the nation. The Sunbirds only scored one goal in their 1-14 loss to Loyola Marymount.
Borbala Toth scored the only goal on a drive in the third quarter.
“Loyola is a well coached program, and it was a great opportunity to play them,” commented Head Coach Bryan Suhovy.
Jessica Esau started the first half and came up with three saves. The Sunbirds struggled to get on the board while Loyola scored nine goals.
Dani Mortimer came into the game in the second half and had two steals.
Coach Suhovy concluded, “We are now taking that experience and preparing for next weekend.”
Next weekend the Sunbirds will take on Concordia and University of Pacific in Fresno on Saturday, March 13. The first match will begin at 10 a.m.
