FRESNO, CA -- Fresno Pacific men's basketball is seeded No. 4 for the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament and will host No. 5 seed Westmont in the opening round on Thursday.
Game time is 7:30 p.m. in the Special Events Center. Thursday's quarterfinals winners advance to the GSAC semifinals at Biola University in La Mirada this weekend. The GSAC tournament champion receives an automatic berth into the NAIA national tournament.
Ticket prices for Thursday’s basketball game are set by the GSAC and are as follows: $6 for students, $8 for seniors age 62+, and $10 for adults.
The Sunbirds finished the regular season 23-7, second best record in school history to last season's 26-8. They are ranked No. 23 in the NAIA, which coach Jim Saia said qualifies his team for the NAIA tournament.
The 32-team national tournament is March 17-23 in Kansas City, Mo.
"We're ecstatic to be in the national tournament," Saia said. "We've had a great year. This team has a chance to make a run [in the post-season]."
