KANSAS CITY, MO. - The FPU men's basketball team had the 2009-2010 campaign come to an end Friday morning in Kansas City with an 88-82 loss to John Brown University in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
The Sunbirds were tied 32 apiece at the halftime break, but were edged by JBU down the stretch ending the season with a 25-9 overall record.
FPU had four players score in double-digits in the effort.
Senior forward
Todd Brown led the Sunbirds with a game-high 21 points and snatched 7 rebounds on the night.
Fellow senior forward
Alex Davenport put up 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds while senior center
Craig Ash contributed with 14 points and 8 boards in the contest.
Senior guard
Jesse Childs rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points, respectively.
