FRESNO, CA. - #20 Biola University proved to be too much for the Sunbird women's basketball team, as the Eagles defeated Fresno Pacific 81-61 Tuesday evening in GSAC play at FPU's Special Events Center.
Biola jumped out to an early lead and carried a 42-33 advantage into the locker room at the half.
The Eagles continued to extend the lead as the second half progressed to go on to win by 20. Jessilyn Conicelli led Biola in scoring with a game-high 21 point performance.
Despite the loss, FPU guard
Michele Rebozzi was solid for the orange and blue with 18 points on the night, while fellow guard
Melissa Flores made a double-figure contribution of 11 points in the contest.
With the loss, the Sunbirds fall to 6-16 on the season, and 3-9 in the GSAC.
