The Sunbirds are preparing for the NAIA Volleyball National Championship.

Two-time defending national champion Fresno Pacific drew the No. 1 seed and will begin play Dec. 1 at the NAIA Volleyball National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa. The Sunbirds, undefeated at 32-0, are making their 19th trip to the National Championship and will be looking to claim their fifth national title.
Fresno Pacific will be joined in Pool A by No. 12 seed Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), Point Loma Nazarene and St. Ambrose (Iowa).
California Baptist, a Golden State Athletic Conference rival, is the No. 2 seed. Northwestern (Iowa) is seeded No. 3 and GSAC foe Concordia No. 4.
The NAIA national tournament is Dec. 1-5 at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa.
The 24 teams are placed into six pools and will play round robin pool competition Dec. 1-3. The top two teams from each pool advance to the single-elimination bracket starting Dec. 4.
The championship match will take place on Dec. 5.
