Lisa Shilling led the Sunbirds with 10 kills while Martina Gregusova and Keke Wang followed with 9 and 7 kills, respectively.  Emily Carroll contributed 32 assists in the Sunbirds' win.

Mariah Mandelbaum had 16 digs to lead the match.

Coach Dennis Janzen commented, “It’s always good to get a GSAC win on the road. However, we’re still learning to have a consistent effort, but we are heading in the right direction.”

The Sunbirds had eight errors in the second set where they were pushed 29-27 before they could pull out the victory to go up 2-0.  Despite Fresno Pacific’s lowest hitting percentage in the final set (.152) and five errors, the Sunbirds held Hope to only 12 points and a negative hitting percentage to close out the match.

The Sunbirds will look to have a more consistent effort on Saturday, October 31 when they take on No. 4 Concordia in Fresno.  In their first meeting this season the Sunbirds swept the Eagles on the road.  The match will begin at 3 p.m.
