Sunbirds get a little bit of everything with signing of DeJongh
Fresno- The Sunbirds landed a highly talented athlete with the signingof Ethan DeJongh yesterday afternoon. DeJongh will look to contribute in many events as a very versatile athlete for the Sunbirds.
The highly talented DeJongh has been able to shine through out his high school career and has the numbers to prove it. His 110 meter hurdles time of 14.3 seconds along with a 300 meter hurdles time of 37.9 seconds rank among the top ten in the state of California.
Coach John Thiesen gives DeJongh’s high school coach credit for his success. “Ethan comes from an incredible program under coach Moshier,” said Thiesen. “His success at Mt. Whitney proves he can help us right away.”
DeJongh carries impressive numbers in the long and triple jump along with the ability to run in some relays.
“We are very excited to welcome Ethan to our track & field program,” said Thiesen. “He is a great student-athlete that will help us both on and off the field.”
